![]() ![]() ![]() For years I have been basting these fabric extensions and then pulling threads to remove the skirts after I finish quilting. I quilt on a longarm frame and often have to add a fabric skirting to my backing to be able to have the buffer I need to easily place the section to be quilted in the right area. ![]() The Double Chain Stitch setting had a lot to do with why I purchased the 14T968DC. This setup made it very easy to move on to the Double Chain Stitch settings. I appreciate that the machine was already set up for the Triple Cover Stitch. I was surprised by how heavy the machine is and I'm glad that the carry handle is so sturdy. Unlike my husband, who reads the instructions after he puts something together, I took the time to read the supplied hard copy Instruction Book before I even fired up the machine. Satisfied with the performance and options Sorry it took so long to write this review but this "serger" is a bit more complicated than any of the other sergers I have owned. I sew multiple layers of fleece, flannel sometimes felt and a rubbery fabric. Absolutely no idea how I did it, wasn't easy to remove, but that's it. somehow thread got stuck between the needle plate and feed dog. Since recieving the machine, my production has improved tremendously! I have gad 2 issues so far. I was also drawn to the automatic tension adjustment, since that seemed to be the main cause of my love hate relationship with my Husqvarna machine. I chose this machine because I mainly sew extremely thick material and the machine is designed with a higher presser foot. I followed the suggestions in reviews by experienced seamstresses and read the manual and workbook prior to the machines arrival. I was hesitant going from a 4 thread to a 5 thread worried about the love hate relationship again. Since 2009 I have had a love hate relationship with my Huskylocks15. ![]() **Please note all sewing machine returns require a $25 restocking fee.
